Firm's Role: Master Planning
Recently, Camino Global selected McCarthy Architecture to produce a new master plan for their US headquarters. Camino Global is a missions organization which primarily serves within the Spanish-speaking world. Their current campus consists of three small buildings which are inefficient and no longer meet the organization’s needs. This master plan gives the organization a roadmap for a series of expansions over the coming years. An initial phase within the master plan consists of two new-construction projects, one for additional office space and the other containing a multipurpose event space with full commercial kitchen and breakout rooms. In addition, this first phase encompasses site enhancements such as additional parking, a detention pond, a garden/courtyard area, a playground and a bodega expansion adjacent to existing lodging. During a later phase, the master plan provides space for expanded lodging and other facilities as needed.
