FRISCO | McCarthy Architecture partnered with Richardson Bike mart, a premier cycling retailer to expand their presence by locating an additional store in McKinney.  The site was a difficult end cap on an existing retail center.  the one story buiding  was a steel structure with a brick veneer exterior.  Emphasis was on a large retail area to present a variety of bicycles in combination with a large repair area.  the retail area volume has high ceilings and an abundance of glass as a show room.

McKINNEY | McCarthy Architecture joined with Richardson Bike mart, a premier cycling retailer in expanding with a new stand-alone building in Frisco to serve a growing customer base.   The facility is an open, two-level volume to facilitate bike rack storage and Bike marts signature repair shop.  A second level administration area has offices, a breakroom and conference room.  in addition to the bicycle establishment, the project has approximately 8,000 square feet of adjoining retail space  to accommodate a variety of new businesses.  As in the earlier McKinney shop the emphasis was on a large retail area to present a variety of bicycles in combination with a large repair area.  the retail area volume has high ceilings and an abundance of glass as a show room.  A steel structure with a glass, metal and copper wall exterior creates a distinctive exterior.
