In response to the rapid population growth over the past decade, the City of Wylie is in the process of redeveloping and expanding their 15 acre Public Services Campus. McCarthy Architecture was selected to provide full Architectural services. This project includes the construction of a new 18,500 s.f. building for their Public Works department with a 9,750 s.f. office wing and an attached 5-Bay maintenance shop for the street, water, and wastewater divisions. The existing 3,500 s.f. office building on campus will be renovated for the Parks & Recreation department, and a new 3,500 s.f. free standing shop will be built to accommodate their maintenance needs. A new 50,000 s.f. concrete yard with a fueling station, emergency generator, truck wash bay, and raw material bins will connect all three buildings.
