McCarthy Architecture was invited by St. Anthony Catholic Church of Wylie to assist in an interior design renovation of the sanctuary and the chapel for a more inspired and uplifting presentation of space to encourage worship.   The original 1980's design was somber and dark and did not represent the call to worship desired by the church.  The Crucifix was preserved, but the background brick and stone material were selected to be lighter in color to highlight the image of Christ.  New lighting was located to accentuate and frame the Crucifix.  New pews were placed with emphasis on enhanced center aisle stonework leading to the Crucifix.  The chapel adjacent to the worship center was altered to correspond in like kind to the new aesthetic with lighting and new materials for smaller congregational gatherings.
