Some projects stay close to home. Others take you somewhere entirely different.
The Torch Cay Golf Maintenance Facility in the Bahamas is one of those projects. Situated on a private island, this complex was designed to serve as the operational backbone of a world class golf course, bringing together industrial function and staff focused amenities in one thoughtfully planned environment.
The scope of the facility spans multiple buildings totaling over 43,000 square feet, including a:
24,800 sf golf maintenance hub
a 7,000 sf commissary with a professional kitchen + dedicated dining area
a 7,000 sf security building
a 2,500 sf chemical storage building
a 2,500 sf green house
The central office building houses professional workspaces, laundry services, and a fully equipped gym where staff can decompress and stay well.
Designing for a remote island location comes with its own set of considerations. Logistics, materials, and coordination all look different when the job site is surrounded by water.
The project is currently in progress, and we look forward to sharing more as it develops.
